Last Call

Rain and wind couldn't keep people from getting their favorites from Chris & Lori's Bakehouse

Last Call

We knocked down 30 markets this 2022 season. Now the bell is ringing in one last call this Saturday before we nestle in for the winter.

One final market to load up on your favorites, like certified organic cheese from McCluskey Brothers Shillelagh Glen Farms (pictured).

If you're after that extra special cheese offering to send off the season, swing over to Landmark Creamery for their great selection of artisan sheep's milk cheeses.

For those looking to fill up some freezer space with locally raised meats, Highland Spring Farm, ParKelm Farm and Bryant Family Farms will be there to help you stock up on all your beef, pork and poultry needs.

As the holidays approach, this weekend marks your last chance to grab some cranberries, fresh or dried from Wetherby Cranberry Co.

Speaking of feasts, no table is filled without some tasty veggies and Blue Moon Community Farm, Emerald Meadows Family Farm and Happy Valley Farm will be there to help you stock up on the last of the fall fresh crops and plenty of storage goods too.

No feast is complete without dessert and apple pie will always please, thankfully Ten Eyck Orchard and Pleasant Springs Orchard will be out to help you find that perfect apple.

Don't count your larders full until you've loaded up on the sweet stuff, like honey from B's Honey and Bonde Bee or maple syrup from Open Kettle Farms.

Lastly, no final trip to market is complete without a little something special to enjoy in the moment. Murphy Farms will be there for that last bag of fresh cheese curds, tasty beef sticks or their delicious pumpkin bars.

Temps are looking very winterish for our last market, so dress warmly and come share some farewell smiles with all your favorite local food producers.

See you at market!

Market on the Move in 2023

We've got some big news to share regarding the 2023 market season. Many of you have already seen the news that UW Health is planning on building a new clinic in part of the market occupied lots starting next year.

With construction slated to begin next spring, we're happy to announce we'll be relocating to the MG&E Innovation Center inside University Research Park in 2023. Located about 1.5 miles south of our current location, the new market site will offer room for our vendors, along with ample parking space for our shoppers, as well as a shaded picnic area for everyone to relax and enjoy their market goods while listening to music and taking in those great market mornings.

We'll have more details to come later in the summer, but rest assured that the WCM will remain a great fixture of the west side community for years to come. For the remainder of 2022, you can find us each and every week at 750 University Row into early November.
