Memorial Day Weekend

A beautiful sunrise over the market lot, an good omen of the day to come

Memorial Day Weekend

The unofficial kickoff to summer arrives this weekend and there's no place better to start it off than with a trip to market.

For those whose weekend includes some time at the grill, swing by the Highland Spring Farm booth (pictured) for a great selection of beef from their Highland cattle. Ground beef for burgers, hot dogs and a large selection of steaks, they have you covered.

If the start of summer means brat season, ParKelm Farm is a must stop with their tasty brats and wide selection of pastured pork products.

While the grill is fired up, give this amazing grilled chicken thighs recipe a try and stop over at Bryant Family Farms to load up on their pastured raised chicken, turkey and guinea fowl.

We'll have to wait til July for the fresh stuff, but we were happy to welcome Alsum Sweet Corn back last weekend with their frozen sweet corn (pictured), corn chowder and array of CBD products.

The return of summer also signals the return of more of our vendors, like Live Jewelry Farm with their great produce such as these beautiful spring onions. We look forward to the arrival of their peas and strawberries later in June.

Another happy return this weekend in Country Bloomer's Greenhouse, who will be popping in here and there during the summer before returning weekly in September.

For all you caffeine lovers, we hope you'll help us welcome our newest addition to the market this Saturday, Alice Good Coffee with their tasty Colombian coffee, available brewed fresh or in whole bean form to take home and enjoy.

Welcoming some, we also say farewell as West Star Organics has wrapped up vending for the season. It's always a pleasure to have them at the market and we wish them a great summer.

We wish you all a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and look forward to a long summer of beach picnics, cookouts in the park and backyard grill sessions. Enjoy all the season has to offer by starting each weekend at market.

See you at the market!
