Memorial Day Weekend

May is chugging along and Memorial Day is almost upon us.
The weekend offers much to all here in Wisconsin. It's chance to spend a little more time with family, celebrate the unofficial start of summer, and take the time to commemorate those who gave all in service to this country so the former two opportunities are possible.
In a world of never-ending uncertainty, we're thankful to have that chance, especially so when we can celebrate with our friends, neighbors and have the best food available from our local farmers and vendors.

As the grills roll out this weekend, the market is the perfect place for locally raised meats, like Highland Spring Farm beef (pictured), Pecatonica Valley Farm brats and hot dogs and tasty poultry from Bryant Family Farm.
Take those burgers to the next level with mini Hot & Spicy Cheese Bread rolls from Stella's Bakery and a slice of Gouda cheese from Landmark Creamery (pictured).
To top those burgers or build a nice side salad find some great greens from Blue Moon Community Farm or Black Earth Valley, radishes from Shoua Lee Vang and spring onions from Perez Produce.

Grab some easy sides with fresh hummus and pita chips from Yalladips (pictured) or a bag of Murphy Farms' cheese curds.
However you choose to spend your weekend, we hope you kick things off with a trip to market. A sunny beautiful day is a great way to get any weekend going, especially a nice long one.
See you at the market!

Our FoodShare equipment will be down for one last week, but should be in operation starting May 31st and before the Double Dollars program returns in June. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Any unspent dollars from the previous season can still be used with our vendors.
