Onto May

Week three of the 2025 market season proved bigger and better than the last, with more returning vendors, new produce finds and plenty of sunshine to soak up.

Kopke's Greenhouse returned with flower and vegetable starts, plus some lovely hanging baskets (pictured).

Radishes, spring turnips and many varieties of greens were available, including these beautiful mustard microgreens from New Life Greens (pictured).

Elsewhere in the market shoppers found delicious mushroom options from Fungi Farmers, many honey options from B's Honey and the first ramps of the season from Bonde Bee.

Tamales moved fast from Tortillas Los Angeles and the same could be said for the scrumptious pastries from Madison Sourdough, a reminder that many great options sell out early.

Those tamales pair amazingly well with Ernie's Homemade Hot Sauce, by the way (pictured). Available in mild or hot, their sauce has such a full and well rounded flavor, it's hard not to eat it on everything.

As we move into May, we're happy to welcome back Sustain Dane and their free weekly food scrap collection. Find them next to the Info Tent each Saturday through November 1st this year.

Also joining us this week are University Houses Preschool and their free kids activities. Find them next to the band and enjoy a little playtime as the music delights your ears.

There's much more to come this May, and with Mother's Day coming up, you won't want to miss a market.

See you at the market!

FoodShare/EBT Service Temporarily Down

Unfortunately our FoodShare equipment is out of commission for a few weeks, meaning we will be unable to issue new FoodShare Dollars at this time. We're hoping to be back up in running by mid-May and before the Double Dollars program returns in June. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Any unspent dollars from the previous season can still be used with our vendors.
