Celebrating Summer!

Add a little extra to color to life with purple snap peas from Ka Vang Thao Celebrating Summer! The strawberries were flying off the table, Moldy Jam was picking up a storm and lots of happy faces could be seen in every direction at last weekend's market. Those are the joys of a summertime market, with so many wonderful things happening all around us. So many tasty things to find like ripe cherry tomatoes from Black Earth Valley (pictured), string cheese from Farmer Johns' Cheese and fresh baked loaves of naturally leavened bread from Cress Spring Bakery. We're grateful for all those good things, especially with the Fourth of July coming up this next week. With all the cookouts planned, th

Coming Round the Bend

Dreamfarm never disappoints with their flavor creations! Coming Round the Bend Happy Summer Solstice to everyone! We at the farmers' market have more reason than most to celebrate the longest day of the year and the official transition into summer time. It marks the end of our spring session, bringing us into Session II this Saturday. Thoughts of sweet corn, zucchini, raspberries and so much more are on our mind. You're Just Too Sweet!

McCluskey Brothers Shillelagh Glen Farms has your Dairy Month covered You're Just Too Sweet! We're gushing over all you good people, the good food we're lucky to have and these oh so wonderful summer days. Strawberries might be to blame, as they made their seasonal debut this last weekend on another fantastic market day. It's just too much sometimes to see all these wonderful things coalesce, fresh strawberries, the first sugar snap peas of the season and so many happy market faces! A lot of faces were smiling to see the return of Green's Pleasant Springs Orchard, with their picturesque heads of lettuce. Don's Produce gets some credit too for the first snow peas of the season to accompa

Extra Cheese Please!

Crisp bunches of radishes from Sai's Garden Extra Cheese Please! Happy National Dairy Month to all! With all that delicious cheese to enjoy, we'll keep things BRIE-f this week. Oh cheese puns, we love you. You're as GOUDA's it gets. All right, all right. Thanks enough for this week, we shouldn't be MÜNSTERs about it. Fantastic cheese puns aside, the opening of National Dairy Month started off great with a busy market this past Saturday. The weather was perfect for a casual shopping trip and not too hot to head out into the garden to plant those starts! The Double Dollars program returned with great success and we had a full day of music, with Starr Grass Band, the Rhapsody Art Center
