Delicious Asian pears from Sai's Garden
Back to School

The calendar won't officially turn over to fall for a few more weeks, but that post-Labor Day feeling is setting in.
The school busses are now passing every day, the nights are getting cool and even some color is hitting those early trees.
Warm up inside and out with a cup of Happy Mood tea (pictured) from Isabella Natural Herb Farm, a soothing and nice way to adjust to the changes September brings.
Soon enough it will be full on soup season, but we can still enjoy the bounty of late summer with plenty of tasty produce arriving for weeks to come.

Enjoy giant bell peppers from Happy Valley Farm, crispy jicama from Live Jewelry Farm and crunchy carrots from Perez Produce (pictured).
As we take in the tail end of summer's bounty, we're also excited for the good offerings to come in the fall. Is there anything more comforting than coming into the fall kitchen; a roast in the slow cooker, potatoes roasting in the oven and simmering hot cider ready to enjoy?
New varieties of apples and pears will soon bring us scrumptious pies and crumbles. Open Kettle Farms maple syrup will be poured over butternut squash and sweaters will become the early-morning market goer's best friend.

It won't even be too long before those fresh cranberries make their seasonal debut. You'll have to wait til October to enjoy those, but for now grab up a jar of B's Honey cranberry honey and add it to that Happy Mood tea. It's gonna be a great school year.
See you at the market!
