Halloween Market

We couldn't start the newsletter this week without a huge congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers for winning their first World Series in franchise history! Whether you're a baseball fan or not, it's such a joy to be a Wisconsinite this week. Go Crew!

We're down to our final two markets of the 2026 season, and yet we've been so lucky to have this beautiful late fall that's kept more vendors out than almost any other season.

Lovely flowers were still to be had last weekend, like these cute pumpkin bouquets from Perez Produce.

For those looking for some last minute pumpkins to carve, check out J + R Farm or Happy Valley Farm. Beyond Halloween, decorative gourds will last for weeks and can certainly spruce up a Thanksgiving dinner table.

Highland Spring Farm are back this weekend, so don't miss you chance to stock those freezers up with their delicious pasture-based beef.

Speaking of stocking up, don't sleep on the half-gallon jugs of maple syrup from Open Kettle Farms (pictured). It may not be enough to last through the winter, but it should get you pretty far down the road.

While the market runs through November 7th, this weekend will be your last chance to catch Madison Sourdough at the market until 2027. So hop in the queue for your favorite almond croissant, pain au chocolat or loaf of their hearty bread.

Before we head out two reminders to throw your way: This is the last Saturday for FoodShare shoppers to get up to $20 in Double Dollars to spend on fruit & veggies, and also we're running a BOGO sale on our market tote bags. Grab two for just $15 at the Info Tent.

We look forward to seeing you all this Saturday, in costume or not. The only thing we're scared of is the season ending.

See you at the market!

Ben Zimmerman

Market Manager

As a reminder to everyone, dogs are prohibited within the market area, though we welcome service animals at all times.
