Bring on October

The leaves are starting to pop in color, the nights have been getting cold and the first decorations of the Halloween season are going up. October is here and honestly, we're ready for it.
Fall market season brings so much to the table, especially as long as the frosts hold out. Produce is abundant, the flowers are magnificent and cozy nights in the kitchen sounds magical after a long hot summer.
Roast up some baby Brussels sprouts from Natalie's Garden & Greenhouse with this delicious balsamic vinegar glaze recipe.
If you're looking to add a little color around your place, swing by the J + R Farm booth and check out the lovely selection of mums (pictured) and other ornamentals.

This weekend we're excited to welcome back two vendors to the October lineup.
First, Wetherby Cranberry Co. returns with their fresh Warrrens-grown Wisconsin cranberries, plus their tasty dried cranberries too.
We'll also we welcoming back Driftless Chocolates, with their satisfying truffles, bonbons, caramels, chocolate bark and more. Treat yourself after of week of rain with something sure to warm you from the inside.

We've six precious markets in front of us, time enough to load up on your favorites, treat yourself to something fancy or try something new, like these colorful pickled carrots from Steppin' Out Foods.
The days and the market season get shorter from here, let's enjoy every minute of it.
As a reminder, we ask shoppers and vendors alike to please use the new gravel paths going forward and to let the old foot paths heal over and regrow with their native plantings.
See you at the market!
Ben Zimmerman
Market Manager
As a reminder to everyone, dogs are prohibited within the market area, though we welcome service animals at all times.
