We sent May off packing with a beautiful and full market this past Saturday. From a morning of near frost to an afternoon of sunny 60's, the day was a great send off to spring.
From market staples like Wisconsin maple syrup from Open Kettle Farms, to the unique finds such as wild golden oyster mushrooms from Happy Valley Farm (pictured), there was something for everyone to enjoy.
As we push on into June, we're so excited to share all the good things to look forward to.
After a busy spring, Kopke's Greenhouse will join us again this weekend with their amazing selection of planting baskets and starts for your gardening needs.
It was great to see Flyte Family Farms again this past weekend, where we got the news that strawberries are just a few short weeks away. For this weekend get yourself excited for the first broccoli of the season from JenEhr Family Farm, seriously so delicious.
Later this month we'll also see the return of the Market Ramblers, our favorite musicians who've played at the WCM for years. We hope to welcome more market entertainment and activities back as the summer rolls on.
As we mentioned last week, the Double Dollars program returns this weekend! Our FoodShare shoppers will be able to get up to $25 matched at market each week through October.
With all these great developments coming our way, it's safe to say it only gets better from here.
