Beautiful poppies & sunflowers from Lor Farm
In Stride
Come peak market season, a game plan can be instrumental to a successful market visit.

Scope the new offerings, do a lap and adjust that shopping list accordingly. After all, one can only make so many meals a week and nothing should go wasted.
Grab some Natalie's Garden and Greenhouse tomatillos (pictured) for a roasted salsa verde. Next a new bottle of Open Kettle Farms maple syrup, followed by some Flyte Family Farms blueberries for those Sunday morning pancakes.
Of course, next you'll need some freshly roasted beans from Alice Good Specialty Coffee, obviously.

You can't forget weekly features, like fresh, never frozen chicken, duck and rabbit coming in this weekend from Bryant Family Farms or tasty kombucha from our favorite monthly pop-in, Mr. Tea's Kombucherie.
Then there's the freshest veggie options like yummy microgreens from New Life Greens (pictured), fresh raspberries from Yang Family Produce and lettuce mix you can trust from Westridge Organic Farm.
The early tomatoes are a good omen of what's to come, so best grab your favorite loaf from Madison Sourdough for the classic tomato sandwich.

Staples cannot be overlooked, like a dozen Murphy Farms eggs, a pack of Pecatonica Valley Farm bacon and the essential bag of Schroeder's Kase cheese curds.
And just when you think you've maneuvered and mastered the market like a pro, you're thrown off guard by the return this weekend of both Blue Moon Community Farm & Happy Valley Farm. What to do? What to do?
Might need to run back to the car for another tote...
As a reminder, we ask shoppers and vendors alike to please use the new gravel paths going forward and to let the old foot paths heal over and regrow with their native plantings.
See you at the market!
