Tasty cantaloupe microgreens from New Life Greens

Looking for Sunshine in the Rain
Come heat or high water... or how does it go? Seems like we're back and forth between the two this summer and more is on the way.
If you're tired of the perennial soggy corners in your yard, stop by the Tend Native Plants booth and peruse their selection of water loving native plants (pictured), perfect for rain gardens and more.

At least the plants are loving it, and we're reaping the produce rewards. New finds this past weekend include Romanesco zucchini, bushels of pickling cucumbers, large fennel heads and even stacks of candy onions from Natalie's Garden & Greenhouse, perfect for French onion soup.
Come heat, rain or oppressive humidity, the market is yielding plenty of other delicious finds each week. Give the pickled garlic scapes from Savory Accents a shot, perfect to top off salads or wraps or serve up with a seasonal charcuterie board. Sweet lovers should keep a close eye on the weekly specials from Honey Bee Bakery as last week's black currant genoise cake was marvelous.

One other amazing treat to keep an eye out for are the gourmet cacao truffles from Inspired Alchemy (pictured). Offered in a variety of flavors from sweet to floral to spicy, there's many options to mix and match the perfect box set to take home and indulge in.
Can't say we're surprised to see more rain in the forecast. Whether it holds true or not, you'll find us out there with the best the season has to offer, and plenty of great finds along the way.
See you at the market!
