Market Returns this Weekend!

Market Returns this Weekend!

While it feels more like mid-summer than mid-spring, the kickoff to the outdoor farmers market season is here, with our opening day commencing this Saturday, April 15th.

We'll be welcoming in the 2023 season at our new location in front of the MG&E Innovation Center at 505 S. Rosa Road inside University Research Park. Not far from our old home, the new location features plenty of free parking, both along the east side of Rosa Road and inside the Innovation Center lots. We do ask you not to park in front of the Innovation Center itself, as those spaces are reserved for their staff.

No matter how unseasonal it feels, you can expect a great array of early market season options from our vendors, who will grow in quantity as we move through April and into May.

For many of you, the return of your Saturday morning routine is enough to get the gears going early each week. The hunt for new finds as you gather your old favorites, a past time we all enjoy after the winter break.

We hope we can count on your help to spread the news about our new location by telling your friends, family and neighbors. To incentivize you all, we will be doing a little cookbook giveaway. Anyone who shares our most recent Facebook post will be entered in a drawing to win a copy of From Asparagus to Zucchini: A Guide to Cooking Farm-Fresh Seasonal Produce. We'll draw five winners in early May and hand the copies out at market.

We'll also have full and quarter page copies of this season's market flyer (pictured below) for anyone who would like to hang one up at the office or hangout. Our many thanks to anyone who helps share the good word about the market via in person, online or via a flyer.

Change isn't always easy, but you can expect the same great market experience in our new home with live music, educational tabling groups, market events and of course the best in local produce, Wisconsin meats and cheeses, fresh baked goods, artisan foods and so much more.

We look forward to welcoming you all back this season and we hope you'll help us welcome our new 2023 vendors as well. So dust off those market wagons, pull your reusable totes from the cupboards and get ready for another great season at the Westside Community Market.

See you at the market!

As a reminder to everyone, dogs are prohibited within the market area, though we welcome service animals at all times.
