Memorial Day Weekend

Hard to beat a long weekend and with the arrival of Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer.

For many it means at least one cookout to attend, and the market is the perfect place to get your shopping done.

Grab some beef from Highland Spring Farm for burgers and a block of B. Kurt Dairy cheddar cheese (pictured) to top it off. Next add some fresh lettuce from J + R Farm to ensure you get at least one vegetable in.

You can even take your burgers to the next level by swapping a classic bun with a Hot & Spicy Cheese Bread mini from Stella's Bakery.

Of course asparagus on the grill is another delicious option, and you'll find plenty from vendors like Black Earth Valley (pictured), Yang Family Produce and more.

Skip the crowds and have your own brat fest with some great options from Pecatonica Valley Farm, or grab a pack of their hot dogs if that's more up your alley.

Bryant Family Farms will have fresh, never frozen, chicken for the first time this weekend, with availability in whole and half birds, bone-in breasts, thighs, leg quarts, wings, drumsticks and more.

This weekend we're excited to welcome another new vendor, Mr. Tea's Kombucherie, with their refreshing array of kombucha drinks. They'll be joining us once a month over the summer, so be sure to stop by and give them a try.

Whatever your plans for the long weekend, we hope you kick things off with a trip to market for all your holiday favorites.

See you at the market!

As a reminder to everyone, dogs are prohibited within the market area, though we welcome service animals at all times.
