Mother's Day Weekend!
Before we dive into all the many reasons that Mother's Day weekend is a market not to miss, we'd like to give a thanks to everyone who came out for last Saturday's market.
It was a little cold, it was a little rainy and oh boy, it sure was windy, but all that couldn't stop us from having a nice third market of the season.
Don's Produce returned, giving us their amazing hot house cucumbers and tomatoes (pictured), plus great looking mixed greens.
Speaking of greens, the spring rain and sunshine are finally yielding some more produce with arugula, spinach, baby bok choi, mixed greens and baby kale to be found around the market from our many growers.
Urban Gourmet, in addition to a nice array of micro-greens, had nettle tips to offer last weekend (pictured). A great source of vitamins, nettle tips make a delicious spring pesto or can be brewed for a rejuvenating tea.
We're expecting even more wonders this Saturday for our Mother's Day weekend market.
In addition to our current plant vendors, we'll be welcoming back County Line Plants & Produce, Garden Gate Flowers & West Star Farm, all with beautiful plants for home, garden and the Moms in your life.
We're also so grateful for the return of Honey Bee Bakery this Saturday and their fan favorite pastries, breads and more.
Not only are we looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day early, we can't help but be excited for the nice weather coming our way. With market baskets loaded up, sunshine on our faces and plenty more market season to come, we've got plenty to celebrate.
See you at market!
