Mother's Day Weekend

Buttery, flakey goodness in each and every Madison Sourdough Croissant

Mother's Day Weekend

It can't be just a coincidence that Mother's Day rolls around the same time as the flowers really start to pop at market right?

Lor Farm starts arriving with beautiful tulip bouquets, perfect for Mom, right when we're looking for that special gift...conspiracy? Perhaps more evidence is needed.

Pure luck that Kopke's Greenhouse returns to the market with lovely hanging floral baskets (pictured) and starts for Mom's garden right at the beginning of May?

We'll let you draw your own conclusions, but it's safe to say a trip to market this weekend is a great place to start looking for those Mother's Day gifts.

Perhaps you plan to kick off Mother's Day with a homemade breakfast of heuvos rancheros, Bryant Family Farm has you covered with fresh eggs, while nothing beats fresh tortillas (pictured) from Tortillas Los Angeles. Want to add some roasted breakfast potatoes to the plate? Then swing on over to Emerald Meadows Family Farm for some of their tasty over-wintered potatoes.

For the moms with a sweet tooth, you can't go wrong with a pack of scrumptious cookies from Chris & Lori's Bakehouse.

Homemade gifts always please, but if you've outgrown macaroni cards, try a homemade rhubarb crisp with fresh rhubarb from County Line Plants & Produce (pictured).

Sometimes the best gift Mom can receive is time well spent together. A stroll through the market as you enjoy a cup of coffee, a fresh pastry and the type of conversation you can only enjoy with Mom is the greatest gift you both can enjoy.

However you celebrate this weekend, we have a sneaky suspicion the market has a hand on the scale to ensure Mom gets the appreciation she deserves.

See you at the market!
