On to Session II

We lined up ten markets in a row and knocked them all down. That's right, this past Saturday marked the 10th and final market of our spring session.

Before we venture forward to the summer and fall sessions, we'd like to look back on all the great things we enjoyed so far this season.

To start, we welcomed new vendors like Domann's Plant, who brought us out an amazing selection of flowers and vegetable starts for the garden, and Paleo Mama Bakery with their unique array of paleo, keto and gluten-free baked goods.

Another high note of the spring session is the presence of B's Honey with their assortment of varietal honeys and beeswax products, and also the ever-tasty offerings from Driftless Chocolates. We'll miss both of these vendors during the summer session, but can look forward to their return come September and the start of session III.

The special finds of the spring session, such as morels and asparagus, are treats atop an ever growing offering of fresh produce from our growers. Watching more vendors return week by

week with bigger and more diverse harvests is such a pleasure to behold.

By the time we're at the end of the spring session, we're surrounded by fresh options available like baby zucchini from Happy Valley Farm and kohlrabi and garlic scapes from Emerald Meadows Family Farm (both pictured).

The summer bounty only grows from here, and we eagerly await what July and August will bring, such as fresh sweet corn, blueberries and more. While the end of the spring session means saying some goodbyes, we look forward to the hellos to come when we welcome back Pleasant Springs Orchard and Door County Fruit Markets, both hoping to return the weekend of July 10th.

Ten weeks down and twenty to go. Let's enjoy every one of them.

See you at market!
