Reunited and It Feels So Good
A bright, brisk morning welcomed us as the Westside Community Market returned for our 22nd season this past Saturday.
We had a hearty crew of 25 vendors to kick things off, with offerings from fresh spring produce to classic market staples, like Hot & Spicy Cheese Bread from Stella's Bakery.
Shoppers lined up for favorites new and old, and some in between like the yummy scones from Judith & Jane's Bakehouse (pictured), the new caretakers of the classic Chris & Lori's recipes.
Fresh spring greens from Westridge Organic Farm were a great omen of the produce to come as spring chugs along, so were the vegetable starts from Blue Moon Community Farm.
We were delighted to welcome some new faces too, like Anna's Granola (pictured), with their broad selection of flavors to help start your morning off right.
A warm week should keep things growing, but we're looking at another chilly spring market this Saturday, so don't forget that sweater as you make your shopping list.
We'll see more vendors returning this weekend, and once the fear of early morning frosts lift, even more in the weeks to come.
Til then we'll enjoy dancing to the Market Ramblers to shake the chill from our bones, helped along with a delicious Honey Bee Bakery pastry too.
