Fresh strawberries from Flyte Family Farms
Summer Solstice

The longest day of the year is almost upon us, and for those who get to the market right when we open, you know that special feeling of starting your day with full light and fuller tables.
Customers grab the first dozen of Dreamfarm eggs (pictured) or the first croissant from Madison Sourdough, with plenty of space to shop before the crowds arrive.
New weekly arrivals like kohlrabi or the first cucumbers from Westridge Organic Farm (pictured) are still available.

Shoppers even have time to take a lap or two to take in all the options before making their decisions for the day.
While we look forward to celebrating the solstice all weekend, we're also excited to celebrate Father's Day this Sunday as well.
The market is a great place to pick up something nice for Dad, from flowers to steak.
Bryant Family Farms will be offering several fresh, never frozen options for shoppers this weekend, including fresh chicken, duck & rabbit. They'll have a variety of cuts available, perfect for a grill out for Dad.
For the steak lover, Highland Spring Farm has some amazing cuts available from their pasture-raised Scottish Highland cattle. Or if Dad is a classic brat man, stop by Pecatonica Valley Farm (pictured) for their many flavor options of brats.

Before we send you off to celebrate one or both this weekend, we have some exciting news to share! The University Research Park has just installed four new gravel paths between the market aisles.
We ask shoppers and vendors alike to please use these paths going forward and to let the old foot paths heal over and regrow with their native plantings. Exciting times!
See you at the market!
