Fresh peaches from Ten Eyck Orchard

Sweeter and Sweeter

ree

We're coming up on our 20th market of the season this weekend, and as August moves on, things have just gotten sweeter and sweeter at market.

Atoms to Apples returned this past weekend with their earliest apple varieties and their yummy apple butter and applesauce (pictured).

Chris & Lori's Bakehouse has been delighting us this month with the return of their sconuts, with the birthday cake variety bringing smiles to shoppers young and old. As a reminder to loyal Chris & Lori's shoppers, there are just five weeks left to grab up your favorites before their final market on September 20th.

For those looking for a special treat, grab up one of the elongated Sangria watermelons (pictured) from Natalie's Garden & Greenhouse. This deep red seeded variety is so delicious, whether eaten plain or added to a nice fruit salad.

If life is all about balance, it might be time to add a little spice against the backsplash of all the sweet finds. Find some hot and spicy peppers from both Perez Produce & Savory Accents this time of year, but be warned these are no joke.

County Line Plants & Produce is there for those looking for the pepper flavor but can't take the heat. Their "Fooled You" jalapeno peppers offer all the taste, but leave the spice at home. Another great offering are their many varieties of garlic (pictured), each with their own flavor profile.

Join us this weekend for all things sweet, spicy and in between. Our friends the Master Gardeners will return to answer all your gardening questions and the market is guaranteed to be packed with every flavor you look for at peak market season.

See you at the market!
