A warm weekend coming our way is all the inspiration needed to open up the outdoor kitchen, be it patio, porch or park.
Start by whipping up a batch of mojitos or mint lemonade with fresh cut mint from Shoua Vang.
As you wet your whistle and prepare the main course, enjoy an easy snack with a bag of Farmer Johns' cheese curds or sliced salad turnips dipped in the Spicy Hummus from Savory Accents.
For a side dish, grilled asparagus is a no brainer and Black Earth Valley has you covered with freshly harvested bunches ready to take home.
Another plate comes together with slices of Madison Sourdough baguette topped with fresh Dreamfarm goat cheese, a sprinkle of Urban Gourmet microgreens and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
With the grill going strong, it's time to load up Bryant Family Farms chicken drumsticks bathed in your favorite sauce or the classic burger made from Highland Spring Farm ground beef topped with a slice of Forgotten Valley Cheese aged cheddar and a leaf of fresh romaine (pictured) from Blue Moon Community Farm.
And dessert you say? You could take it easy with a plate of always delicious cookies from Chris & Lori's Bakehouse or plan ahead and bake up a rhubarb crisp with fresh rhubarb from County Line Plants & Produce.
With all the fresh options from the market, the first cookout of the 2021 season is already a success.

Blue Moon Community Farm is once again offering a preorder for their vegetable, flower & herb seedlings. Customers can pick up their orders at market or take a trip down to their farm outside of Stoughton for the scheduled pickup day.
