Welcome to our 20th Season!

Welcome to our 20th Season!

We're practically counting down the hours until market opens at 7:00am on Saturday morning.

More than the usual excitement that marks the return of market season, for this year we are venturing into the 20th season of the Westside Community Market.

How we've grown in those interceding years and what changes and challenges we've gone through! We've had two relocations and navigated the pandemic years, all while maintaining our producer-only community market with the integrity in which it was started all the way back in 2005.

The 2024 season will not disappoint as we return to our newest home inside University Research Park at 505 S. Rosa Road. The beautiful setting of the market was noted by many last year, and we're excited to feel even more at home as we settle in for seasons to come.

Speaking of our the setting, we will ask shoppers to do their best to avoid cutting through the prairie plantings between the aisles this year. We're working on establishing more permanent trails, but until that time comes, please stick to the pavement as much as you can.

Much like every season, we'll watch the market grow as spring proceeds with more vendors returning as the weeks pass until we reach peak season in the summer. While you shop this spring, please help us welcome our newest additions to the market and remember to check out all the aisles for the best selection.

Help us spread the word about the market by stopping by the Information Tent and picking up a flyer (available in full and 1/4 sheet versions) that you can hang in your office, community center or favorite spot in your neighborhood.

Of course the best support anyone can offer is gracing us with your presence each week and scooping up your favorites from our vendors. Taking time to enjoy the morning at the market is simply the best way to kick off any weekend. A bag of squeaky cheese curds, a fresh baguette and a bouquet of flowers are all the riches one needs to feel like royalty on a Saturday morning in Madison.

We can't wait to spend that time among such noble folk. Thank you all for the support in the years that have led to this point. Now is the time to celebrate our 20th season among friends old and new.

See you at market!

Ben Zimmerman

Market Manager

As a reminder to everyone, dogs are prohibited within the market area, though we welcome service animals at all times.
