So Long May
So much flavor! Chili Garlic Crisp from Savory Accents So Long May As we reach the tail end of May, summer is truly giving us a taste of what's to come, and not just in terms of the heat. Memorial Day Weekend
Fresh bok choi from Blue Moon Community Farm Memorial Day Weekend Hard to beat a long weekend and with the arrival of Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer. For many it means at least one cookout to attend, and the market is the perfect place to get your shopping done. Grab some beef from Highland Spring Farm for burgers and a block of B. Kurt Dairy cheddar cheese (pictured) to top it off. Next add some fresh lettuce from J + R Farm to ensure you get at least one veget

Bigger Blooms
Beautiful hanging baskets from J + R Farm Bigger Blooms Spring market season is really taking hold, now if we could just get rid of those frosty nights. Some shoppers may have noticed less asparagus than they were hoping for these last few weeks and those cold nights are to blame, having burned several of our vendors crops since late April. Let's hope that's behind us as we move further into May. The good news is we're seeing lots of frost tolerant crops coming in, like this

Sun, Cold, Storm, Repeat
Alive microgreens & microherbs from New Life Greens Sun, Cold, Storm, Repeat Oh April, you've certainly put us through the ringer. Hot days, violent storms and just enough cold to remind us of what spring in Wisconsin truly means. Thankfully the plants and the produce seem to endure better than we do, and our second week of the 2026 market season demonstrated that resiliency. More vendors returned this past week, like Domann's Plants who came in with some lovely flower, herb

Reunited and It Feels So Good
Beautiful dahlia plants from Natalie's Garden & Greenhouse Reunited and It Feels So Good A bright, brisk morning welcomed us as the Westside Community Market returned for our 22nd season this past Saturday. Shoppers lined up for favorites new and old, and some in between like the yummy scones from Judith
