Radish microgreens from New Life Greens
Always Changing

This weekend we'll find ourselves on the doorstep to the official start to fall.
While the heat returned this week, with it came more color to the trees and an urgency to enjoy these days.
At market we see summer sending its farewell with special finds, like elderberries (pictured) from Atoms to Apples.
Another special find has been wild American plums from Bryant Family Farms, who will bring them to market this weekend along with some of their amazing fresh, never frozen chicken.

Fresh cut flowers are another precious find to enjoy before some crisp fall morning zaps them from the market. Enjoy beautiful bouquets from Hope & Hill Flower Co., giant sunflowers from Yang Family Produce and colorful dahlias (pictured) from Lor Farm.
Changing leaves will soon enough add an abundance of color to our skies, but looking down as you shop the market, you'll find plenty of brilliance to enjoy.
Blue corn tortillas from Tortillas Los Angeles delight, while the Calabrian Chili & Honey Cultured Butter from Landmark Creamery adds flavor and a spark to even the simplest piece of toast.
Darker days may come, but Alice Good Coffee has you covered, both with freshly brewed hot & cold brew coffee to enjoy at market and their house-roasted beans (pictured) to keep you going all week long.

Before we send you off, we hope you'll read below regarding the final appearance of Chris & Lori's Bakehouse this weekend before they venture off into the land of retirement. We'll truly miss these wonderful souls and their delicious scones. Things are always changing indeed.
See you at the market!

Last call for Chris & Lori's Bakehouse this Saturday!
It's bittersweet to lose such treasured people at the market, but we're happy to wish them all the best in their retirement.
Please read below for words from them:

Thank you, Westside Community Market!

We feel so fortunate to have been vendors at WCM for 12 years, and we want to express our sincere gratitude to you all as we are officially retiring from baking after this Saturday’s market, Sept 20.
We have truly appreciated being a part of this wonderful market, through all the early mornings, crazy weather, location changes of the market, and even getting through the early days of Covid together.
We have enjoyed seeing familiar smiling faces come to our stand week after week, year after year. We are deeply grateful for being a part of your Saturday mornings for over a decade. We look forward to attending the market as customers in the coming years!
Now for the scoop on the scones!
Judith & Jane’s Bakehouse is a new business just starting up, and they will be taking ownership of our recipes! Watch for them as a new vendor at WCM soon.
Here’s to fresh baked beginnings!
With Love,
Chris & Lori Robson & family
